Wilderness Lodge Arthur's Pass is a 24 room nature Lodge nestled in mountain beech forest on its own 3,000 hectare nature reserve/merino sheep station. Located in the heart of the Southern Alps the Lodge offers luxurious comfort, magnificent mountain views, gourmet meals and wines, warm hospitality and a variety of shorter and full day naturalist guided walks, including canoeing, bird watching and farm trips. Special birdlife includes: kea, New Zealand falcon, wrybill plover, rifleman, NZ pipit, southern (great) crested grebe and rock wren, orange
fronted parakeet and mohua/yellowhead are found nearby in the Hawdon Valley (total 45 bird species in area).
