Gannet Safaris Overland

Cape Kidnappers is the largest, most accessible mainland gannet colony in the world. Visitors will view these amazing birds nesting, preening, flying and performing the famous
recognition ritual "Dance of the Gannets".

Gannet Safaris has been guiding visitors for over 35 years, the only operator that drives you to within a few metres of the birds. Travel air-conditioned four-wheel drive vehicles
over the hill country of Cape Kidnappers Station. The three hour tour, with a full commentary from the driver guides, provides spectacular scenery of Hawke’s Bay and the rugged
coastline of Cape Kidnappers. There are also guided walks available year round and scenic helicopter flight.

Gannet tours depart daily 9.30am and 1.30pm September to April; Cape Kidnappers Safari 10.00am daily May –
August or by arrangement.
