Fiordland Ecology Holidays

Breaksea Girl
Fiordland Ecology Holidays invite clients to share with them the variety of birds and wildlife in the remote Sounds of Fordland and the coast of Stewart Island.
The base for the 3- to 10-day live-aboard cruise is "Breaksea Girl", a 20-metre (65ft) motor-sailing steel ketch. Maximum of 12 passengers plus crew. Penguins, native land, sea and migratory birds can be seen as well as seals and dolphins. The rare Fiordland crested penguins can be seen from late June to late December.
Bush walks, historical sites, diving and snorkeling – great fun. Lance, your skipper, has had 30 years experience in the area both above and below the water. Dive and snorkel gear is available on board for hire. You may also join the research trips that are available from time to time where your fare helps support research through tourism. They are natural history specialists.
