Driftwood Eco-Tours Ltd

Black backed gull chick
Will Parsons offers personalized guided tours throughout Marlborough and is the sole concessionaire to the Vernon lagoons where 94 species of bird have been recorded. The surrounding hills offer viewing of kingfisher, bellbird, tomtit, fantail, grey warbler, brown creeper, falcon and harrier. The lagoons offer many migratory and endemic waders. On the northern end of the spit pelagic species often rest and preen where the Wairau river flows into Cloudy Bay. It is in this area that New Zealand’s most important archaeological site was discovered. It was here that the Moa hunters lived approx 700 years ago.
Accommodation can be arranged to suit your budget.
